How to Create a Team Passionate to Learn and Serve

Over the last six months I have been awed and humbled at the quality of insight and wisdom Canada’s Top Talent Developers are willing to share. They practice the art of helping others to greatness every day. They remind me that by inspiring, focusing and teaching others they are modelling the culture that will most benefit their organizations and their customers.

From Estela Perez at RBC to Mike Harwood at Harley Davidson to Gary Collins at 4 Growth, each has helped me see my mission more clearly and have given me more tools to help my own clients find what they need for their teams.

Most recently I was talking with Paul Litwack. Paul led the Executive Coaching community practice of the International Coach Academy (Australia) and is Director of the Institute for Professional Advancement in Canada. I asked him; where does the responsibility for passion, innovation and creativity really lie, with the employee or the employer?

At Dale Carnegie Our first four principles are” “Don’t criticize condemn or complain”. “Give honest Sincere Appreciation”. “Arouse in the other person an Eager Want” and “Become Genuinely Interested in Other People”.

Imagine how great our organizations would be if we were able to create a culture where our employees had a strong want to sincerely help our customers and if they were genuinely interested in the success of others on their team. What do you think that might contribute to your bottom line? What would it add to their keenness and tenure? Isn’t that the kind of company we all want to build?

If you want a better insight into what it takes to fully engage your employees to work together effectively, stay with your company and act as ambassadors for the organization attracting people who share their values and passions, give me a call at 905 826 7300 x 328 and we can chat.
